** The world’s most generous workout tracker – built by lifters, for lifters **
Tired of downloading gym apps and creating your account, just to be locked out in a matter of days if you don’t pay or watch endless commercials?
Our offer to you is 100% gains and 0% ads – with unlimited workout logging and free support for all users.
The StrengthLog App is both a workout log and a source for proven strength training programs and tools that will speed up your gains. With it, you're able to log every workout, view and analyze your progress, and find a workout routine that's right for you.
This workout app truly is built for lifters, by lifters (in cooperation with thousands of other lifters). We know that flashy features mean nothing unless everything works as expected. That’s why we listen to our users and add new features, as well as fine-tune existing ones. Have a request or suggestion? Drop us a line at app@strengthlog.com!
Our goal is to make the free version of the app the best free strength training log on the market! Using it, you'll be able to log an infinite amount of workouts, add your own exercises, view basic statistics and track your PRs (both singles and rep records). And you'll get access a lot of workouts and training programs for different training goals, like building strength or muscle mass!
If you level up to a premium subscription, you'll gain access to more advanced statistics, our full catalog of training programs, great features such as quick stats for sets, and the ability to log sets with reps in reserve (RIR) or rate of perceived exertion (RPE). You will also contribute to the continued development of the app, and we thank you greatly for that!
The app also includes many free tools, such as a set timer, a plate calculator, and calculators for calorie needs, Wilks, IPF and Sinclair points, and 1RM estimations.
Is that it? Nope, but it's easier to download the app and see for yourself the next time you're at the gym! Your gains will thank you.

We might be in the lull of summer, but here at StrengthLog, we’re still working hard. This update is not the biggest one, but you’ll notice some design changes once you’ve updated—specifically, with everything that’s color-coded (workouts, programs, stats on the startscreen, etc.). Take a look!
We told a weak and lazy bug in the 1RM calculator to get out of our way! But we did it nicely.
If you train using RPE, this update contains a true gem for you! We’ve developed an RPE Calculator to help you pick the correct weight for your next set based on the RPE you entered on the set before it. You’ll find the calculator both on the settings page and directly from sets in active workouts (tap the three dots).
This app works much better when you have access to the World Wide Web, where we store all your data, our exercise demos, training programs, and much, much more. But we never intended to shut you out if you tried to start the app in Stone Age mode, which the last version did. Oops. Well, we’ve fixed that now (but we still recommend that you start the app with access to cyberspace).
We made the super sets super again.
Bug fixes! We have ’em! Come get yours now!
Yabba dabba doo, lots of fun stuff happening under the hood now!
What you’ll notice the most is the completely revamped exercise library on the settings page, with a more intuitive design and much better filtering. As always, if you have feedback or need support, reach out to app@strengthlog.com and we’ll help you within a business day.
Our never-ending mission to build the world’s greatest gym workout tracker takes a few more steps towards that goal today:
- Tapping a PR in the record list, will now take you directly to the workout containing that record.
- Workout goals can now include cardio workouts.
- Fixed a timer bug.
- Fixed small bugs in the special sets (EMOM, Tabata etc).
Not much to see here, just some small but important bug fixes for the timer and time zones. We’ve just come back to life after the Holidays, so expect more goodies soon!
We cleaned the app for Christmas and prepared for a lot of goodies after New Year’s Eve. Note! It’s still a secret, but if you’ve been around previous years, you know what’s coming – make sure you update to this version before January hits.
Also:
- Click on the Muscles Worked widget to show the number of sets per muscle.
- Now you can choose between several different notification sounds, in the set rest timer settings.
- A lot of bugs hid in Santa’s sack and he took them back to the North Pole.
The X-mas advent calendar is here, with fun training challenges! Update now to be able to open the first calendar door December 1.
We’ve also connected the calendar to the monthly challenge for December, and added a new achievement to keep you motivated through the holidays.
This version also contain two new goal types: rep goals and goals for exercises that use time as a variable.
Take a look under the plus sign in the bottom menu. We’ve’ added a button for the popular Train Again feature.
We fixed a small bug with the new image rights in Android. Everything should work fine now even if you only give our app limited image rights.
We also clarified that it is currently not possible to share workouts or programs that contain exercises you have created yourself – since only you have those exercises in your library.
Two major new features in this update!
1. Workout and program sharing! Premium users can now share workouts with other users. The sharing feature is found under the three dots menu.
2. New muscle map showing muscles worked during selected time period! Press the info button to learn more about how the feature works.
Other news:
• The graphs in the quick stats on the start screen are now clickable shortcuts to the full statistics page in question.
• Lots of bugs went missing!
Your 1RMs for workouts and training programs are editable outside of active workouts now! Go to the stats page to add or edit your 1RMs.
On the body measurements page, we’ve added a fat-free mass calculation, for those of you who know your body fat percentage.
New goal type: estimated 1RM.
In addition to this, this version includes a mega bonk of various bugs.
Do you use the special sets supersets, circuits and complexes? From now on, you can choose from your twenty most recently used variations, each time you add such a special set to your active workout.
Do you have a coach that sends you workouts and programs through StrengthLog Coach (coach.strengthlog.com)? We’ve designed a new startscreen widget with everything you get from your coach!
This version also includes an invisible farewell to a swarm of bugs that couldn’t behave.
It’s now possible to use “copy from last workout” even for special sets.
After we fixed that, we turned on the biggest fan we could find and blew away a swarm of bugs. It was quite also quite cooling in the summer heat. Highly recommended!

Bug fixes! Here are bug fixes! Come and buy your bug fixes from us! (But they are free, we are not very talented capitalists.)
The update also includes:
* Turn on “Active Energy” inside Apple Health
* Change exercises and move sets in rounds
* Improved RPE
* Improved stats for primary and secondary muscles
The Holidays are not over yet, and with this release we prepare the app for a small January surprise.
Also included:
- Import sets and reps from your latest workout automatically when adding an exercise to a workout (toggle on/off from the exercise selection screen).
- Swipe on a set to upload video.
- Swipe on an exercise to view history.
- New loading screen when starting the app.
- Copy goals.
Just a small update before we open the first door in the fitness calendar:
- The app starts faster.
- A new setting to show/hide the fitness calendar (it's shown by default).
- Search directly in your exercise history, for instance after a specific weight or a number of reps.
- Add or change exercises directly on the reorder exercises screen.
- We put a few grinches on Santa's naughty list.
This app is closing in on its fourth birthday, and it's time for a small change. With this version we'll swap out the old app icon on your homescreen to our new mascot.
Let's call it Oxis, for now. A strong, gentle giant looking after your gains. We'll be adding more versions of the icon in the future, for you to choose from. Or maybe earn the right to use. Who knows ...
